Cisco: 50 Billion Things on the Internet by 2020 [Infographic]

Media_httprwwreadwrit_fnfji

The Internet of Things have been on the agenda for a few years. Lately some of the big companies started sharing their predictions how big the Internet will be. Cisco and Ericsson CEO predicts 50 billion devices by the year 2020.

IBM recently put it at 1 trillion connected devices by 2015, interestingly enough a number Cisco's own CTO Padmasree Warrior said will be reached by 2013.

Predictions aren't easy, even when working for the same company. Nevertheless, the Internet of Things is a big trend - and big business for Cisco, Ericsson, IBM and other companies.

It will happen, one way another even if the numbers or time period might differ.

The reason is best described by Ericsson CEO Hans Vestberg who in a keynote speach said: "All devices that can benefit from connectivity will be connected," - predicting that the world's nearly 5 billion mobile phone subscribers today will be surpassed by 50 billion connected non-phone devices in 10 years.

The House of Harry

Media_httpfarm6static_kgexk

The house of Harry is a building created to show art an to live in. It's also been promoted as one of Stockholm's new landmarks, like the Globe, if you know what I mean.

This building is odd, maybe low key but is not a landmark. Period!

Still, when placing a 200-or more three in front, it works. I used to work here. Now, our old office is gone. Sign of the times.

Little did I know

I used to have this photo as my Icon on Flickr, FB and other places. Little did I know it was Albert Watson, who shot it. Now I do.

I don't like Fotografiska, so I only visit when my friends from out of Sthlm wants to.
Last sunday, Watson was displayed.

Last sunday, me was on display. ME, ME, ME!

I still believe Sarah Moon is trying to hard.

Pretty much, like myself. Still, she is awesome.

Me, I am.

xkcd: Server Attention Span

Media_httpimgsxkcdcom_sjflw

Hi, I'm a smartphone user - Isn't it funny how you, me, both have turned into geeks over the last decade. Today I probably own more computers and gadgets than most geeks did in 2001. (smartphone's, screens, laptops, external, hard desk drives, digital cameras, computers, laptops, Ipods, cell phones, routers....you get the picture)

I guess XKCD has been crossing the chasm together with all those geeky products we all own and isn't just for the innovators and early adopters anymore.

I still love it ; )

See David Bailey on the SVT documentary

Media_httpimodelscomi_cdjze

I guess I had pinned David Bailey down with all the other fashion photographers of the time. As a good craftsmen. I also knew he was good at shooting portraits...then.

When I saw the TV-documentary about David Bailey, his lates works is as good as ever. The skulls and flowers and others are fantastic. It's refreshing to see someone so dedicated and passionate about his works after a lifetime, as Baliey is.

The doc in on svt.se. If you live in Sweden, don't miss out.
